got in SID at 54.15
Hope today is just a correction…do you have a rec’ stop loss?
I’ve been reading your’s and Steve’s posts on this blog…you’ve had some pretty nice calls recently. You said you took a year off or half a year after you lost some money in options to review your work. I see that most of the stuff done on this blog is technical analysis. Is there any books you recommend reading on technical analysis? Or anything that will help me identify some stocks before they break-out? Thanks again…
p.s. nice work on tbsi…i think it’s going back to $40.
Thanks Doug. I forgot the names of the books that I read. I was going on a cruise so I went to the library and checked out about 10 books and read them on the ship. I would go to your local library and check out every book you can find about Tech Analysis. That way you can read the first few pages to see if you like what it has to say, if not, move onto the next book. Also I would take a look at the charts in IBD and look for patterns. Most of the stocks all follow a similar pattern. The shippers have been hot recently so I agree that it will be going back to $40.
Hey Andrew , I do not have a stop loss, but i do have a mental one. I would be very cautious if SID breaks todays low. I think it is a leader and is going higher.
3 out of 6 of those stocks were up today. Not bad at all
Hi Brett,
Have you checked out Cal Dive (DVR) recently? Since it’s in the oil pipeline repair industry, It’s likely to perform well if there is a bad hurricane season, and they announce earnings on the 1st of August. It looks like it’s been hit pretty hard recently, but it’s P/E is just 8.5!
SID very nice rebound!
I like most of the stocks on this list, but I have some reservations right now about LFC. I like the stock over the long run, but in this market I’m not sure that stock will do well in the short run. Nice blog.
If purchased at a low enough price, all of these stocks could still be profitable. Wizetrade got me low buys.
The day you suggested these, I got options and my value soared. I didn’t make as much, if I would have bought them out right, but I still did pretty well for myself thanks to you and wizetrade.
I pulled in some AMZN, from your suggestion. It’s paying the mortgage now.

brutal day to say the least. I’m worried now that The Dow is smashing through reasonable support at the 13,700 level.
