The word “bell” itself, which is the central theme of the poem and gives it its title, is also used to suggest onomatopoetically full resonant sound a bell makes when it is the first step. The same word is repeated ten times in the first stanza alone. The last six lines of the poem according to the word “bell”, repeated 13 times to create the feeling of a great symphony of bells sounding different as the speaker finishes his tribute to his music.
