Mutual Funds Posting Record Gains!

Mutual-fund company stocks are defeating the funds they manage. You can take a look at the 20.8% gain posted by an index of 20 fund?manager stocks from January 1 through the end of second week of October. That gain was double the 10.2% advance of the average stock-mutual fund tracked by Bloomberg.

The Russell 3000 Investment Management Company Index has gained 15.6% a year over the past five years, outrunning the average stock-funds annual return of 10.4%.
According to John Bogle, retired chairman of the Vanguard Group, hired managers have arrogated to themselves an excessive share of the rewards of investing. He says one key reason this has happened is due to public ownership at fund companies.

Some critics say that when a fund manager has to answer to its own stockholders, as well as to shareowners of its funds, conflicts of interest arise. The fund company starts viewing itself more as a marketer working to attract new money than a steward of the assets already entrusted to its care. This starts a lively argument. A fund manager may feel he deserves some extra rewards for doing the home work and concentrating on a single business rather than owning a diversified portfolio of securities, as fund investor does.

The three largest US fund groups, namely Fidelity Investments, Capital Groups American Funds, and Vanguard are all closely held. So are the several others among the fast growing up?and?comers, including Dimensional Fund Advisors, Dodge & Cox, and Davis Selected Advisers. A financial research by Boston consulting firm says these six groups together attracted almost $99bn of new money in the first eight months of 2006. That is more than half the $168 bn that was invested into stock and bond funds of all types.

Few investors or their advisors have made an obvious cause out of favoring private fund managers. They do naturally drift towards managers they perceive as able, consistent and reliable. Another choice that remains with every investor is to buy the fund managers shares instead of the funds. However, it should be kept in mind that individual fund?company stocks are prone to greater volatility than shares of a typical broad-based fund.

Новый способ давления на кандидата на пост Главы г. Химки

Новый способ “наказать” тех, кто посмел участвовать в выборной кампании не на стороне действующей власти изобрели правоохранительные органы г.о. Химки.
Руководствуясь не нормой закона, а чьей-то “волей” сотрудники милиции решили “проверить” все фирмы, внесшие денежные средства в избирательный фонд неудобных кандидатов.
Начались “проверки” с телефонных звонков – где директор, сколько человек работает на фирме. После чего последовали “письма счастья” с просьбой предоставить всю бухгалтерскую документацию, учредительные документы фирмы, и даже, план экспликации БТИ.
Такие запросы химкинским фирмам рассылает 1 отдел Оперативно-розыскной части № 9 Управления по налоговым преступлениям ГУВД Московской области за подписью начальника подполковника милиции Д.В. Языкова.
И всё это в то время, когда Президент дал прямое указание правоохранительным органам о прекращении всех незаконных проверок малого и среднего бизнеса. С это целью внесены изменения в Федеральный закон “О милиции” – из статьи 11 этого закона исключены пункты 25 и 35, на основании которых ранее правоохранительные органы имели право проверять финансово-хозяйственную деятельность предприятий.
Видно, об изменениях действующего законодательства местные правоохранительные органы не уведомлены. И не смотрят телепередачи с выступлениями Президента.
Может быть, эта публикация подвигнет их к исполнению указаний Президента, а также к изучению и соблюдению действующего законодательства

Let me start off by saying that I’m a cat lover. I love cats.Indoor cats. Cats who are well cared for and loved.
Our next door neighbors, who are good people and we have no complaint about, are animal lovers too. They also have three cats. Outdoor
cats. Oh, and three dogs. Outdoor dogs. (Their back yard is maybe about 4/10′s of an acre?) Well, you can imagine that the outdoor cats
don’t feel like spending time with the outdoor dogs… why should they when they can so easily hop the fence and spend time in OUR yard?
Ordinarily, it wouldn’t bother me at all to have a cat roaming through our yard. I LIKE cats. But these guys are wearing out their
welcome.
Our poor cats stand at the windows unable to chase those cats off of their territory. We used to let our cats out every now and t
hen to chew the monkey grass or sniff around (they’re declawed… we have to stay with them to make sure they don’t escape). We
can’t anymore… the neighbor’s cats scent sends one of our males into a frenzy whereby he attacks our other cats.
We can’t leave our garage door up anymore (they pee in our garage). I can’t enjoy the birdfeeder anymore (they stalk the birds).

Funny, he thought, they hadnt been that way when he leaked there last night, and as he watched, he could see them gradually engulf the entire roof and grow down the opposite side. A hoarse whisper nex to his shoulder instantly broke his concentration. It was Zelda, his counterpart in female form who was always trying to get him to “do the nasty” at her small cardboard dwelling on the other side of town. She too had seen the blackberries growing at an unbelievable rate, while she was on her way to the landfill on her never ending quest for aluminum cans. They both continued to stare for quite some time until she wrapped her arm around his waist, and he made a hasty retreat for Ms. Walkers place.

Hi Everyone,
I have a carpet cleaning business in Houston,TX that was doing pretty good until the economy went bad, and with it my clientele. I have a website for the business but I dont
know what I have to do the get it to show up in a search. Right now it’s somewhere in the yahoo/google netherworld (LOL).

Is there someone on here that can give me some insight or know of anyone that coud give me insight on how I can get my local website on the front
page of a Yahoo or Google search to increase my business without it costing me 5 or 10k $$$? If so please share with me.
