Birdflu Stocks

I’ve been watching some bird-flu stocks (BCRX NVAX SVA HEB GNBT AVII CRXL) lately and I thought I’d share my watchlist.
The U.S. government already is buying $162.5 million worth of vaccine against the H5N1 bird flu strain from two companies — Sanofi-Aventis and Chiron Corp. It also is ordering millions of doses of Tamiflu and Relenza, two antiflu drugs believed to offer some protection against the bird flu. -CNN.
NVAX, as many of you know, has been on fire lately. You can find thorough coverage and technicals of NVAX at D Investor’s blog.
Update: GILD is a good diversified bird-flu play. Thanks Tate for pointing it out.

You could add Gilead (GILD) to that list which is the least speculative of the bunch – they would collect royalties from any tamiflu produced

That’s precisely why’ll you make the least ammount of money if you default to GILD.
Think wall street not main street…
..or lose the most – i personally don’t like picking the needle out of the haystack – to each his own

make sure you check out the article at the back of this months forbes — it lists 6 avian flu plays worth your time.
Most of them are losing money hand over fist; whichever company wins a contract or develops the next wonderdrug will see its shares skyrocket obviously……
talk about a momentum play.
