the terrorist explosions today killed the market at the open, but a drop in the price of crude oil helped rally the market back for a strong finish.

whats interesting is that homeland security stocks gapped up today because investors were suddenly reminded of the kind of place we live in today. even more interesting, homeland security stocks were pumped just last week in Barrons.

for instance, check out IDNX and OSIS, both homeland security stocks, which both gapped up ~5-6% today. whoever follwoed the picks in Barrons last week got lucky today. both stocks had slightly increased volume on tues/weds, so looks like some people did follow barron's advice.
