MSFT Short Entry

MSFT, Microsoft Corp., isn't looking so hot lately.

It has broken down from a consolidatory support. As you know, "support becomes resistance," as was evident in today's selloff at the trendline. MSFT could make for a short entry from a technical analysis standpoint.

Considering the current dour market conditions, short positions are favored in any stock.

I think it’s going to take a little while for it to break - there is a good support there. There are better shorts out there. Microsoft is a slow mover and the last couple of weeks it had a big move - so it will probably get back to some trading range.

I know I’m just rehashing verbatim what has been said by softee bulls elsewhere, but do you really want to short MSFT in face of the fact that VISTA is on its way? that could be a risky bet.
