Wassup guys?

As the most recent addition to team FYM, I thought I’d take a moment to introduce myself while giving you guys a little insight into why I’m here. Currently a third-year student at UCLA, I entered college as many other freshmen did, naïve and optimistic. Leaving high school, I had it all figured out. I’d come to college and work my ass off to become a doctor. Seems simple enough, right? It’s what every Asian kid aspires to.

But as these years went on, I began to see things differently, that life wasn’t always so black and white. I came to harsh realization that becoming a doctor required much more than just hard work. It would require certain sacrifices that I wasn’t willing to give up. People always say time is money and truer words were never spoken. Even after college, graduate school, and residency, I would still have college loans to pay off. That means I’d be in my mid thirties before I’d actually make any real money. I see slowly, as more and more of my friends take up “real” jobs, that working a 9-5 is nothing more than a means to an end. Constantly in a state of panic, and always trying to juggle school and work, they no longer have the time to sit back and smell the roses as they say.

I came to the conclusion I needed to diversify. Realizing that my dashing good looks could only take me so far, I needed a new plan and that’s when I stumbled across the New York Stock Exchange. Weeks later, after many successes and many more mistakes, it came to me. I could make a career out of this. So here I am now, the latest member of FYM. Look forward to many more of my posts and happy trading.
