allTunes

Watch out iTunes. If you have been following the site, you will know that I am bearish on AAPL's iTunes.

Just recently, AllofMp3 has launched allTunes, a competitive match against iTunes. For ~$0.09 cents a song and not having to deal with iTune's bloated interface (allTunes lets you download directly to MP3 files), I'm sold!

UPDATE: iTunes movies are priced at around $9.99 and iTunes users are not happy about it.

I don’t think AllTunes.com can be considered a ‘competitor’ or a ‘threat’ to iTunes, given the huge controversy over its legitimacy.

If alltunes is a competitor to iTunes, then so are Kazaa, Bittorrent, LimeWire, etc.

There entire site is down with a ‘gateway error’… looks like allTunes can’t ‘get it up’.

I think services like AllTunes and AlloFMp3.com will become much more serious threats as people realize that they can’t play FairPlay media on all of their devices.
