Chipotle IPO Terms

The terms for the Chipotle IPO have been announced. The underwriters are Morgan Stanley and SG Cowen, and the stock is priced at around $18. Chipotle will debut this week, on the 25th, on the NYSE under the symbol CMG (Chipotle Mexican Grill).
The food is pretty good. It will be interesting to see how the street reacts to the stock.

Yes! I’ve been talking about Chipotle for a while now and they’re finally going public!
Chipotle (CMG) will do well for 3 reasons:
One, Chipotle’s food rocks — we urge you to spend an hour there; you won’t want to leave.
Two, Chipotle priced its food perfectly — for less than $10, you get a mean burrito and a Corona.
Three, there is indeed a market for Chipotle. As it stands, it’s biggest rival is Wendy’s (WEN) Baja Grill. Based on the way investors are (mis)treating Wendy’s, it’s as clear as day: Chipotle’s going to use Baja to mop the floor.
After virtually growing up at the original store, everyone from the University of Denver Neighborhood has been waiting for this day for over a decade. We are passionate about our burritos…as is Steve (Els, CEO) and see nothing but profitable futures.
This baby is gonna soar!
I personally prefer Baja Fresh by a mile, but… are they public? =)
