Ice Stock Chart

If i only listed to myself. I said during the last post about ICE that the lower BB provided good support. I should have sold once it broke support. I held, watched it go to 117 and was about to have a heart attack. I still like ICE and still have Faith.

ICE had a nice bounce today along with NMX. This sector appears to be catching a bid again, these next few days will be very telling as to the trend for ICE and the sector overall.

ICE has shown weakness on the upside as it is losing momentum based on the inability of the market to provide a suitor for a merger. Remember, ICE failed a breakout at 173 in July and found its way below the 40 week line during the sell off a couple of weeks ago. ICE has had very little action in terms of volume and its difficult to envision it holding above its middle BB as it has for so long.

There is support currently at the 40 week but I see this support as being rather precarious and ICE nevertheless might have a date with the 105 - 100 range before too long.

I’ve shorrted and longed this stock for profit. The spread is usually good enough to buy at close to low for day or sell short at near high. I follow 5-minute charts to have an idea at where the low or high might be. My biggest problem is not cutting losses. I sold this stock short at 139 before it plunged to 117. I hoped and prayed and sold when it hit 135. My account is only 25k plus margin and was down 6k at one time. My broker did not call me on it and so I only lost 1,200.
You would think I would have learned. But, alas, I sold it short today at 142 and waited and waited. But, I didn’t cover! Now it’s back to hoping and praying that bad news or jitters will prevail and it will plunge Tuesday morning. I had ample oppurtunity to cover before it went against me so bad. I shorted in first hour. I encourage all to cut losses short and let winners run. I’ve been told 25k isn’t enough to make any real money in the market on a regular basis. I disagree. With discipline it’s definitely possible. Has anyone else started this small? Thanks, Rob

I don’t like this stock. I see that many of you have made money though. Wizetrade advised me against it.

Ok. Is there something I’m not seeing? What’s the rave about this stock? It’s moving down like an avalanche. Wizetrade keeps me away from these trades.
